Your Team on Rally

Rally events are team sports. Here's how to structure the crew and pay them.

Team Roles

Add people to your organization or a specific event with a role that matches their job:

  • Admin — nearly full org control (manage events, refunds, team)
  • Event manager — run events end to end, including refunds and the door
  • Co-organizer — event collaboration
  • Door staff / Security — scan tickets, manual check-in, door operations
  • Media — content access
  • Promoter — sells (see below); no operational access

Permissions follow the role — door staff can scan but not refund; promoters can't touch operations at all.

Promoters & Their Links

Give each promoter a personal tracking link for your event — a clean URL with their name on it. Rally tracks every click, conversion, and dollar through each link, so you always know who's actually driving sales.

Commissions

  • Set a commission rate per promoter — at the org level, or override it per event
  • When a sale comes through their link, the commission is computed on the ticket revenue from that sale and recorded automatically
  • Promoters see their own numbers (clicks, sales, pending earnings); you see everyone's
  • For free events, links still track — the scoreboard is headcount instead of revenue

Flat-Pay Staff

Working with staff on a flat rate instead of commission? Add them with a committed flat amount and settle staff pay from the event when it wraps.

Where the Money Comes From

Promoter commissions and staff pay come out of your event proceeds — you set every rate, so build them into your ticket pricing.
