Payouts & Getting Paid
How money actually moves on Rally.
The Fee Model (Simple Version)
- •You set a ticket price. You keep 100% of it
- •The buyer pays your price plus Rally's service fee (10% + $0.99/ticket) on top
- •Card processing costs are absorbed by Rally — nothing is deducted from your side
$500 in ticket sales = $500 owed to you.
How Funds Flow
- 1.Rally collects payments at checkout and holds your balance securely
- 2.Your balance from an event clears 72 hours (3 days) after the event ends (this window protects everyone against last-minute disputes)
- 3.Once cleared, you cash out from your Wallet — payouts are initiated by you, not automatic
Cashing Out
From your Wallet:
- •Standard payout — your cleared balance, sent to your connected Stripe account. Free, arrives on Stripe's normal schedule
- •Instant payout — need funds before the 72h clear? Submit an Instant Cash-Out request; once approved, your uncleared balance advances for a 5% fee on the advanced portion
Minimum payout is $1.
Payout Setup
Payouts go through Stripe Connect — you onboard once (identity + bank details, handled entirely by Stripe). Only the organization owner can connect the payout account.
Refunds & Your Balance
- •When you refund an order, the ticket price comes out of your owed balance
- •If a refund lands after you've already cashed out, your balance can go negative and future sales settle it
- •Refunds only ever return the ticket price — Rally's service fee was paid by the buyer and isn't part of your balance either way
Splits That Come Out of Your Side
If you use flat-pay staff or promoter commissions, those are settled from your event proceeds — you control the rates and the roster.
Troubleshooting
- •Can't publish a paid event? Finish Stripe onboarding first
- •Balance looks short? Check refunds issued and pending clearing (less than 72h since event end)
